Vision

The vision for Last Ounce of Courage begins with Richard and Gina Headrick and may be best summed up by Richard when he says, “The purpose of this movie is to wake people up. “

Last Ounce of Courage started more than a year ago when one man’s vision to remind Christians that Christmas is a “Holy Day” not just a holiday inspired the Headricks to write a little story about Keeping Christ in Christmas to give out as Christmas gifts. Fortunately for us, that small project inspired them to become better informed about what was happening to our God-given liberties. They were shocked to discover how many of our rights and privileges were in danger of being taken from us and how many had already been taken from us.

They knew they wanted to make a difference but didn’t know what to do. So they prayed and God answered. Two days later they had written the story that is Last Ounce of Courage.

Richard and Gina wanted to make a movie that was more than just entertaining and God has been with them every step of the way. Just as they set out learning about their rights as Christians, their desire is for all of us to become better informed on our rights as Christians. There is a lot of confusion right now as to what we legally can and cannot do. We need to understand what rights we have that we could be exercising today and what rights we are on the brink of losing so that we can fight to keep them. They saw one person make a difference by passing out t-shirts that read "Christmas is not just a holiday, it is a holy day." They were then inspired to action. One person truly can make a difference, and their prayer is for Christians to" get out there and do something for Jesus." Because they have seen such a decline in the number of people decorating for Christmas during the last fifteen years, they want to encourage everyone to decorate for Christmas. Christmas is a time to take a stand, to let others know that they can know Jesus and to celebrate His birth.
